I know I was going to write about riding, but I was instructed to blog every night or day or morning...As per English 208...Love that class.
So I was thinking about the Hispanic population in CA I don't know how I got surounded by so many people who say"SPEAK ENGLISH". My god this is America, and it was started by immigration. I guess well no guessing about it I AM a conservattive libral. That is all there is too it. On the one hand this country was built by immigration so why can't those of you who keep saying it get over your selves. If I knew Spanish I would use it to my advantage, HEL if I knew any other language, I would use it . BUT I would much rather see my tax dollars spent on education than multi language printing of every government document. I mean really, wouldn't it be more beneficial to our futures to teach the kids of this country english and spanish than to print so many versions. I am a little fed up with press one for English AND I believe our kids are getting ripped off. Fucking prisoners in this country get treated better than children!!! I know I am ranting again.
I was going to write about how cool my night was. When I left my Health class I cut thru the cafiteria, which is something I do, short cut, I saw a group of hispanics celebrating a baby, there was cake and presents. I heard Kat, Kat, it was such a heavy accent I almost didn't recognize my own name. Than I saw a man I had worked with once and he offered me a piece of cake. It was very cool to be welcomed into their world. We had a short conversation part Spanish part English. Next year I am taking Spanish. Can't wait....and the cake was great!!!!
